American Shorthair (short coat) : : Male (not neutered) : : Young : : Small
Atticus Finch, (14 weeks old, Domestic Shorthair brown/white tabby male) was found alone in a machine shop when he was only 2 weeks old, has been nurtured, bottle fed, and gently hand-raised ever since. He is comfortable around other cats and dogs. Look how handsome and distinguished he is, right down to the tiny brown heart-shaped marking on the tip of his nose that you can’t help but kiss! As a result of all this one on one attention, the moment a human locks eye contact with him or picks him up, he purrs rapturously and sniffs and kisses your face, anticipating what good things must be surely coming soon! Atticus was named after the time-honored lawyer & father in the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird”, and embodies so many of the character’s characteristics: He is so wise and trusting, looks on the bright side of things despite his earlier circumstances, accepting immediately of the other kittens we put him with to nurture his socialization, and believes in the absolute good in other people. Atticus quickly became the “father figure” of the group by leading fun romping play, teaching manners & policing when the girls got too rowdy, and grooming, bathing and snuggling them all at night when they were sleepy and ready for bed, and wraps his arms around them when he is ready to retire for the night or a nap, too. He has a wonderful sense of humor, wants to be with you as much as possible, and wants nothing more than the pleasure of your company on a warm summer night. If you are looking for a southern gentleman who has all the love and respect in the world to give, Atticus is waiting to meet you!
