Domestic Medium Hair / Tabby (medium coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Large
Popsicle was living outside at a business in Wixom and being cared for by the employees. He was ear-tipped which indicates that he had been trapped and neutered and returned to the business as a colony cat. However, his caretaker was able to pet him and felt that he were friendly. And so wanted to see if he could be adopted out. So on Christmas day one of our LOCRA volunteers went and got him. He went right in to a carrier as if he knew that we were trying to help. He was brought to a loving foster home to begin his new journey. Popsicle has adjusted to living inside and is a purr machine. He is still unsure of loud noises, so we think older kids only. He should go to a home with another cat (either a resident cat, or adopt a second kitten or cat to be his pal). But he does not do well with dogs. He is FIV positive. Please don't let that scare you. He is healthy now and, with proper nutrition and kept indoors, he can lead a long and happy life. The only stipulation would be that, should he show signs of illness, he needs to be treated right away. FIV cats have a compromised immune system.
