Freddy is a fighter! He was found outside of a home in Detroit with what appeared to be a mouth full of cancer. And the vet agreed. Furthermore, the vet told the rescuer that as the cancer grew , Freddy's ability to eat would be affected in a negative way . And that maybe eutha nasia would be the most humane choice. But Freddie was not done fighting. As his vet and rescuer were discussing his potential end, he j umped up, meowed and jumped off the table. His rescuer took this as a sign that he was saying, "I'm not done fighting!" Therefore, with the help of her vet she looked at all possible options. They chose surgery. And we are amazed and relieved to say that the vet was able to remove the entire tumor without taking any part of his jaw. And even more amazing is that when the tumor was biopsied, there was no cancer!
Freddy has a laid back, relaxed and friendly personality. He is really enjoying all of the comforts of being safe and cared for in a home.
